22 years ago I was introduced to the idea of healing retreats myself. I was run down, over worked, exhausted and had lost my zest for life. I had read about detox retreats and took the plunge and what happened was amazing.

When I first got into healthy pursuits and started learning about raw foods and juicing I tried out the raw food diet and then found myself juicing for about 9 weeks.... the weight loss was amazing !

I also look back on this time as one of the healthiest periods of my life ...

When we are wanting to lose weight, one of the things that sabotages our success is food cravings. In the workshops on our detox healing retreats we spend some time identifying what our food cravings are and use EMO or EFT to release them and create lasting changes, to help us continue our weight loss goals.

Here's a transcript of a session with a client who wanted to get rid of her chocolate cravings.

During the two week detox programme we have time to look at your relationship with food, emotional eating patterns, sabotaging beliefs, creating a new healthy identity for achieving your target weight and for lasting weight loss.

The yoga teacher on our healing and detox retreats is Jyoti Jo (Jo Hogarty) who teaches Ashtanga yoga and a range of Meditation techniques. All levels beginner to advanced are catered for in her classes on our yoga holidays in Sinai Egypt and the UK.
